In today's world, the importance of innovation and sustainability is becoming increasingly evident. Abadia recognizes this need and proudly supports young talents in higher education who aspire to lead these changes. We believe that by collaborating with the academic world, we can advance together.
When the Faculty of Civil Engineering at CTU approached us for support in the international Solar Decathlon competition, we decided to contribute. Our support included the production of modern railing with stainless steel mesh, the framework for the terrace, and access ramps—all provided at a subsidized cost, along with a financial donation.
Solar Decathlon Europe is a prestigious competition focused on sustainable construction and living in an urban context. The CTU Faculty of Civil Engineering developed a design for a modular unit for the extension of student dormitories, with a focus on prefabrication, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
The entire process—from preparation through execution to the final competition—was demanding, but thanks to the collaboration and support from partners, the team achieved impressive results, specifically third and fifth place in two prestigious categories.
At Abadia, we believe it is crucial to stay abreast of modern trends and support those who strive to achieve new milestones in their fields. Sustainability, innovation, and collaboration are core values that guide us toward a better future, and we are proud to have been a part of this project.
